«Kids» is the brainchild of director and animator Michael Frei and game designer Mario von Rickenbach, collaborating for the second time together after winning various awards for their short film and game Plug & Play. Conceived as an experimental project about the psychology of the group. The final products are an interactive animation game, a short film and an exhibition, as presented earlier this year at the Museum of Digital Arts (MuDA) in Zürich.
Since 2015, «Kids» was supported by Pro Helvetia in various formats : the games was granted through the April 2015 and October 2015 «Call for Transmedia projects» together with the Federal Office for Culture, could take part to international SWISSGAMES delegations at major game events, and was supported for its presentation at the MuDA in Zürich.
Double Fine Productions, Inc. is an American video game developer founded in 2000 by Tim Schafer after his departure from LucasArts. The indie game publishing company «Double Fine presents» announced their partnership with company Playables to release the project to Mobile and Desktop later this year.
