Fun is the future! Why? Because fun is a key ingredient that can enhance education, advance science, and strengthen cultural connections. The ETH Game Technology Center uses Advanced Game Technologies like Augmented Reality to add layers of playful interaction on top of important human activities. In this setting, games become powerful tools to advance ETH’s mission in research, education, and outreach.

Within the frame of Berlin Science Week, ETH hosts a symposium at the Musikbrauerei, on 5 November 2018. ETH Game Technology Center will present its
capstone course on game programming and  highlight example projects that use Augmented Reality to add magical interaction onto traditional activities. The presentation will be followed by live demos where the audience will be able to play student’s games, interact with paintings in an art exhibition, and explore a toy catalog that comes to life with Augmented Reality.
