Set in dark, secluded valley of the alps, «Mundaun» is a lovingly hand-penciled horror tale where the player gets to explore various areas full of secrets to discover, survive hostile encounters, control vehicles and sleighs, and solve a variety of hand-crafted puzzles.

«Mundaun» was developed by Lucerne-based studio Hidden Fields. «Mundaun» began as a passion project for programmer and illustrator Michel Ziegler, as he was always fascinated by mythical folklore since he was a child. After a first prototype, he was joined by Gabrielle Alioth as a story co-author and Hidden Fields studio was founded to further professionalize the project.

Its enigmatic and unique grey-scale aesthetic transports the player in the mysterious alpine environment was just distinguished by a GDC Best In Play Honorable Mention.
Hidden Fields is taking part to the SwissGames 2019 delegation to San Francisco and will be present at the GDC SwissGames pavilion as well as to the Courage XL Showcase.

Upcoming maintenance work

The application portal myprohelvetia will be updated from 1.1.-7.1.2024. Due to these changes, open applications must be finalized and submitted via the current online portal ( by the latest 23:59 on 31 December 2023. Until this date, the deadlines and criteria outlined in the current guidelines and calls for applications apply. New applications can be created and submitted in the application portal as of 8 January 2024.
