Lilou Studio was founded by Margit Gassner and is based in Zurich. Before developing their first video game «Fishery», Lilou Studio focused on Computer Generated Imagery and realized various short films and advertising. Lilou Studio is part of the SwissGames delegation to the GDC in San Francisco where they will present «Fishery» at the GDC SwissGames booth and at the European Game Showcase.

«Fishery» is inspired by aquascaping, the professional designing of aquariums. The game is a physics based aquarium simulator where players design and maintain a miniature aquatic ecosystem with fish and plants. For this game, creativity and 3D imagination are needed: the players can decorate the aquarium with plants, rocks or pieces of driftwood. However, not only the aesthetics count, equally important is the knowledge of underwater ecosystems. If the players don’t maintain the needs of fish and plants, their underwater world will turntoxic for its inhabitants. Hence, the players need to balance temperature, nurture the fish and keep enough oxygen in the tank to obtain the perfect harmony of its ecosystem.

The game is suitable for Windows, Mac, and Linux. Though a release date has not been set yet, there is early access available through Lilou Studio.
