Interdisciplinary Masterclasses held during REFRESH #3

REFRESH is an unique experience for digital artists, shapers, critics and experts. During its three days of workshops & conferences, the different spheres of digital arts, design and technology will meet and exchange.

REFRESH is initiated by the Zurich University of the Arts and brings together designers, artists, researchers and experts from Switzerland and abroad to anticipate possible futures for Design and the Arts. For this third edition, under the title «Experimental Futures and Immersive Experiences», REFRESH #3 will offer talks, masterclasses, performances, screenings and an exhibition, both physically at the Toni-Areal and/or virtually via Zoom/live stream.

Speakers include: Nelly Ben Hayoun – Stepanian (Wired Innovation Fellow), Susanne Kennedy («ULTRAWORLD»), Thomas Oberender (Berliner Festspiele/Gropiusbau), Francesca Panetta (MIT Center for Advanced Virtuality) & Halsey Burgund (Roundware), Jakob Kudsk Steensen (environmental storytelling), Florian Faller (ZHdK Game Design Lecturer), Andrea Trimarchi & Simone Farresin (Studio Formafantasma), Derek Bradley (DisneyResearch|Studios), Cameron Wilson («The Diigitals»), Eyal Weizmann (Forensic Architecture), Duncan Speakman (composer and sound artist), Hsin-Chien Huang (National Taiwan Normal University), Martin Fröhlich (Spatial Augmented Reality), Tabita Rezaire (Decolonial Healing), Felix Stalder (Technopolitics Working Group), Kiira Benzing (XR/Immersive Hybrid Director).

Pro Helvetia support a selection of comprehensive masterclasses on the 19 and 20 September 2020.

 

Upcoming maintenance work

The application portal myprohelvetia will be updated from 1.1.-7.1.2024. Due to these changes, open applications must be finalized and submitted via the current online portal (myprohelvetia.ch) by the latest 23:59 on 31 December 2023. Until this date, the deadlines and criteria outlined in the current guidelines and calls for applications apply. New applications can be created and submitted in the application portal as of 8 January 2024.
