Powered by Pro Helvetia and organized by the SGDA, the next edition of the «Producer Workshop» will happen on 28 October 2020.
The event will take place online and welcomes all game creators.

Goals of the workshops are to present and learn from case studies of produced games and the best practices involved to get games to market. Thanks to Q&As and discussions, the workshop will inspire new ideas for new talent and seasoned creators alike.

The following guests will intervene:

  • Ryan Granville, COO at Sunnyside Games (CH) – Presentation on the process of creating games as an independent Swiss game studio that lead to success games like «The Firm» as well as «Towaga: Among Shadows» which was selected for the launch of Apple Arcade
  • Lorenzo Pilia, Outreach Manager Codecks and Producer at Maschinen-Mensch (DE) – workshop on the Codecks software, the playful planning and project management software with hands-on examples from game studio Maschinen-Mensch, known for the «Curious Expedition» series.
  • Eline Muijres, Producer at Mi’pu’mi Games (AT), AMA on producing games at an award-winning studio with own games such as «The Lion’s Song» and remotely assisting productions for studios like Remedy («Control»), IO Interactive («Hitman») and Blue Byte («The Settlers»).

The event is a partnership between Pro Helvetia and SGDA, as both organizations see the knowledge exchange on game production practices as a key factor to ensure growth and the further professionalization of the industry.

Upcoming maintenance work

The application portal myprohelvetia will be updated from 1.1.-7.1.2024. Due to these changes, open applications must be finalized and submitted via the current online portal (myprohelvetia.ch) by the latest 23:59 on 31 December 2023. Until this date, the deadlines and criteria outlined in the current guidelines and calls for applications apply. New applications can be created and submitted in the application portal as of 8 January 2024.
