European Co-Production Market

The Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia is supporting the European Co-Production Market organised by Spielfabrique.

The European Games Co-Production Market aims at bringing studios from all over Europe to develop and finance indie games together. The 6-month program allows studios to find a co-producer for their game from a participating European country, define common strategies and pitch to publishers and financiers.

Through co-production, studios increase their access to public funding, can produce higher quality games by having higher budgets and bigger teams, balance risk and benefits by sharing Intellectual Property, and receive access to another market through their partner.

Swiss studio Twisted Brainz from Geneva is currently taking part in the program together with knit’n’purl game studio and Space Indie Studios.

Other funding bodies supporting the European Co-Production Market include the Danish Film Institute, Luce Cinecittà, Centre national du cinema et de l’image animée, Games:net Berlin Europe, Film und Medien Stiftung NRW, Galway Film Centre, Croatian Audiovisual Centre, Herní Klastr, Creative Industries Fund NL, Norwegian Film Institute, Tunis International Center for Digital Cultural Economy, Kumst, Ministerio de cultura y deporte (Spain), Ministero della cultura (Italy), Flanders Audiovisual Fund, Wallonia Game Developers Association, and Northern Ireland Screen.
